About Us
Founded in 2007, VR-Tek Ltd. is an independent Non-Functional Testing consultancy specialising in the performance testing of IT systems. Our independence means we focus on developing a test approach to identify and prioritise the highest risk areas to maximise your return on investment. We are not tied to any load test tool vendor, so if you do not already use one, we can recommend the most appropriate and cost effective tool to achieve the objectives defined in the test approach. The load test tool is simply an enabler to implement the approach and to provide metrics on the system performance.

Dave Pearce
Before founding VR-Tek, Dave spent many years in Software & Systems Engineering developing hardware and software solutions in many different industry verticals. Most notable were his 10 years working for Lockheed Martin developing Virtual Reality simulation & training systems, where he rose to the position of Chief Engineer.
In 2005, Dave moved into the performance testing field, where he was able to apply his considerable engineering experience to successfully completing some very complex testing challenges.
He founded VR-Tek in 2007 and joined forces with his business partner, Michael Dicker, in 2010.
Michael Dicker
Before joining VR-Tek in 2010 as Operations Director, Michael began his IT career in 1987 in Operations & Delivery. Over the following years he moved into Production Support, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line Support and then into AS/400 Technical Support before finally moving into Performance Testing in 1999.
Since entering the Performance Testing arena, Michael has worked with many FTSE 100 companies including Centrica, ARM, RBS, Barclays, Aviva, Sainsburys and National Grid, harnessing his technical strengths with his core delivery skills and values.
